Johnny Van Zant Recovering After health Scare

Lynyrd Skynyrd frontman Johnny Van Zant is recovering quickly after a trip to the hospital, according to a report in Van Zant was taken in by his older brother Donnie Van Zant, 38 Special's founder.  Johnny reportedly complained of "discomfort in his chest." Initially, doctors thought the 57-year-old singer was suffering from pneumonia, but found he had bronchitis. Said Van Zant's manager: "He is fine. He has bronchitis and has medicine and looks forward to performing on Friday in Cincinnati."

Following the stop in Cincinnati, the band is scheduled to head to Cleveland over the weekend where they are one of several acts lined up for a series of benefits taking place around the Republican National Convention.
