Metallica frontman James Hetfield is making his dramatic acting debut, as he’s been added to the cast of the upcoming thriller Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile.
The film follows the relationship of serial killer Ted Bundy (Zac Efron) and his girlfriend Elizabeth Kloepfer (Lily Collins) from Kloepfer's perspective, who was in denial about Bundy's crimes for years before eventually turning him in, says Entertainment Weekly.
Hetfield will play Officer Bob Hayward, the Utah highway patrol officer who first arrested Bundy in 1975 after pulling him over and finding burglary tools in his car.
The film is set to be directed by Joe Berlinger, who Hetfield has worked with in the past on the Metallica: Some Kind of Monster documentary.
