Former Motörhead guitarist Eddie Clarke died Wednesday night (1/10) at the age of 67. Born Edward Allan Clarke but known as “Fast” Eddie Clarke, he was the last surviving member of the band’s most well-known lineup.

The band took to Facebook, saying Clarke was being treated for pneumonia in the hospital where he died peacefully. Two members from the Motörhead lineup, Phil Campbell and Mikkey Dee, left tributes to the late rocker, and you can read them below.

Clarke played in Motörhead from 1976-1982 alongside the late legend Lemmy Kilmister, leaving his mark on the band’s first six albums before forming Fastway with Peter Way of UFO.
