On this day (6/7) in 1977, Led Zeppelin played the first of 6 sold-out nights at NYC’s Madison Square Garden—a part of their 11th and final run in North America.

According to a press release written after the show, fans brought in firecrackers and set them off during the three-hour set until Robert Plant asked them to stop. But the band outshined the fireworks with a more explosive display for the audience of 20,000. Check out a few clips of the show and the full set list below!
