October 23, 2017

George YoungEasybeats guitarist, AC/DC producer, and brother of Angus and Malcom Young—died this past Sunday, October 22 at the age of 70. AC/DC made the announcement earlier this morning with a statement on Facebook (below), saying there would’ve been no AC/DC without him.

Young co-produced several classic AC/DC albums, like Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap and High Voltage, among others. He’s also credited with co-writing the hit song “Friday on My Mind” by the Easybeats—a song that went on to be covered by iconic musicians like David Bowie.
