Bruce Goes To Broadway!

August 9, 2017

Throughout his incredible career, BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN has pretty much played everywhere, with one notable exception: Broadway. However, Bruce can now cross that one off his bucket list, as he has just announced his plans for “Springsteen on Broadway.”

The “intimate and personal” shows will take place from October 12 through November 26 and will have Springsteen performing 5 nights a week (Tuesday-Saturday) at the Walter Kerr Theater in New York’s famous Theater District. For his residency, Bruce’s plan is to perform his music (on guitar and piano), read excerpts from his recent autobiography, Born To Run, and share tales from his storied career.

Of his decision to play Broadway, Springsteen explained that he loves the old theaters, noting that in the past 40 years, the Walter Kerr Theater is one of the smallest venues he’s played.

In a bold move to keep the coveted tickets out of the hands of scalpers and ticket bots, Bruce is taking measures to ensure that fans have access to buy them through Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan program. Now through August 27, those interested in the shows can register for the chance to buy tickets at the Springsteen on Broadway site and will be notified prior to the August 30 on-sale date for the shows.

It is theorized (but unconfirmed) that SPRINGSTEEN’s 8-week Broadway run may be a precursor to more Broadway appearances, specifically based around his autobiography. Rock on
