2 David Bowie Picture Discs To Be Released
By: Maura O'Malley
Two David Bowie songs, “Be My Wife,” and “I’m Afraid of Americans,” are going to be released on picture discs as a part of a limited-edition series.
On the A-side of the red “I’m Afraid of Americans” vinyl is Trent Reznor’s (Nine Inch Nails) remix of the song, while the AA-side features an acoustic “Heroes.” Featuring photographs taken by Fernando Aceves during the 1997 Earthling Tour in Mexico City, this one’s a looker.

The “Be My Wife” picture disc features photos taken in 1977 by Christian Simonpietri in Paris at both the “Be My Wife” photo shoot and inside artist Victor Vasarely’s studio. While the A-side has a remastered version of “Be My Wife,” the AA-side features the previously unreleased live version of “Art Decade.”
