It’s one of Mötley Crüe’s best-known songs, and it also happens to be the perfect moto for these trying times.

The band is using their seminal 1985 power ballad “Home Sweet Home” to urge fans to embrace the health guidelines we’ve been given to steer clear of coronavirus.

“We’re all in this together,” Mötley Crüe wrote on Facebook. “Please follow the guidelines in your area. A short time of social distancing will mean we sort this out ASAP. Stay safe out there and make sure to wash your hands and most importantly stay ‘Home Sweet Home.’”

Mötley Crüe followed up their well wishes with a new lyric video for the song that also celebrates the one year anniversary of their Netflix biopic “The Dirt.”

“To see the way the film connected with original fans and new fans all over the world has meant so much to us,” they said. “We thank every single one of you for all the love and support.”

Bassist Nikki Sixx has been active on social media during the coronavirus scare. One of his most recent posts is a video of his baby girl with the caption “Here’s just one reason I am taking this virus so seriously...Protect yourself, your loved ones and the people around you.”

Mötley Crüe is expected to take part in one of the biggest tours of the summer. They’re scheduled to hit the road with Def Leppard, Poison and Joan Jett beginning June 18th in Jacksonville, FL. The tour has already sold more than a million tickets and grossed more than $130 million dollars.
